On July 25th, 2016, 14 members of Aylus Pearland hosted a music recital at Orchard Park Health Care Center. Over the course of two hours, our talented volunteers performed Chinese and classical music on instruments including the saxophone, oboe, hulusi, and piano.
During and throughout the recital, the residents’ faces reflected how much joy the volunteers brought them. From performer to performer, the resident audience’s excitement could be seen through their applause and smiles on their faces. After the performance was concluded, the seniors came up and thanked our volunteers over and over for coming and asked them to come back soon.
The volunteers were: Donna Liu, Kevin Chen, Grace Liu, Evelyn Cai, Katie Gu, Han Lu, Andy Gu, Fred Guo, Edward Qi, Kevin Song, Allen Jiang, Marc Lu, Alex Sun, and William Sun.
