On February 20th, 2016, Christie Yu, Eric Zhou, Melinda Yu, and Daniel Zhou of the South Boston Branch hosted an art auction at the Wellesley Chinese-American Network’s inauguration ceremony in Wellesley’s community center, to raise money for The Lin Brothers Memorial Fund. While Eric, Melinda, and Daniel approached audience members for nearly a hundred dollars of donations, Christie gave a speech commemorating Arcadia Branch’s William and Anthony Lin and asked for compassion for their cause. Many parents empathized with the Lin family’s situation. All proceeds from this sale will go to the Lin family, to support them during their period of mourning. The South Boston Branch hopes their efforts will celebrate the lives of William and Anthony, as well as reduce the pain felt by the Lin family.
