On Sunday, August 15th, the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS) National Board kicked off their Solutions for Hope fundraiser. This nation-wide event was aimed at helping low-income families in our local communities.
Every branch is encouraged to participate, adapting methods based on available branch resources to raise money for the underprivileged in our nation. We hope that by putting forward this effort, we can give back to our community and make a positive change in helping the less fortunate. Whether it was donating to local food banks or providing education for disadvantaged students, we called upon all branch members to help make a difference!
To get the ball rolling, AYLUS Co-President and AYLUS San Diego Branch President Samuel Li hosted an online Info Session for this fundraiser. In the info session, Samuel discussed his experiences with the Solutions for Hope fundraiser in his local San Diego Branch, where they opened classes and raised over $10,000 in donations in just one month. Aimed at helping brainstorm, inspire and guide listeners through the process of raising donations through classes, the session was attended by 15 participants and lasted 45 minutes.
