The Metro Detroit branch member Brenden Niu helped out at the Grace Centers of Hope soup kitchen volunteer opportunity on January 30, 2023. Grace Centers of Hope is an organization aimed at helping those who suffer from poverty, homelessness, substance-abuse, or domestic abuse. It has done very good work in creating establishments aimed at helping individuals out. They have built churches, soup-kitchens, children’s hospitals, rehab centers, and even apartment buildings all to help people suffering from draining life-circumstances. Residents of Grace Centers of Hope are able to live in the apartment complexes and neighborhoods which the non-profit has provided for them. The organization provides a program which helps residents re-integrate themselves back into society. It helps them with learning new skills, trades, and ways to live a better life once they have finished recovery.
Brenden Niu helped the non-profit by serving meals, cutting food, and making dishes along with fellow residents and volunteers.
