The AYLUS Morris Branch recently partnered with Help4All, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals in need, to organize a two-week donation drive that successfully gathered 60 essential items. The collection included men’s belts, baseball caps, and backpacks—everyday items that can make a meaningful difference for people facing financial hardship.
To maximize outreach and ensure the success of the drive, members of the Morris Branch actively promoted the campaign across their community. In addition to sharing the advertisement with neighbors, friends, and classmates, they personally distributed posters throughout the neighborhood to spread awareness and encourage participation. This grassroots effort helped generate greater visibility for the collection drive and engaged more donors.
Collection sites were set up at convenient and familiar locations, including a local gym, a neighborhood club, and a Kumon learning center. By placing drop-off points in spaces regularly visited by families and students, the members made it easy for community members to contribute. Their thoughtful planning and outreach efforts ensured steady contributions over the course of two weeks.
Thanks to their persistence, teamwork, and strong community involvement, the Morris Branch successfully achieved its goal. On Sunday, September 14, at 5:30 PM, members delivered all 60 items to Help4All, where they will be distributed to individuals in need. This accomplishment highlighted the power of collaboration between youth-led organizations and community-based nonprofits.
Through this project, members of the AYLUS Morris Branch gained valuable skills in organization, communication, and project management while making a tangible impact. Their efforts not only supported individuals in need but also reinforced the branch’s mission of inspiring youth leadership, service, and compassion.
