On June 5, 2019, two students from the Staples High School in Westport, CT founded the forty-ninth branch for the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS): Westport, CT.

The Description of the Westport Branch
We decided to create the Connecticut Branch of Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States because we wanted to contribute to our community in Westport. We, as high school students in Westport, CT, feel that we have an obligation to improve out community, state, and country. Founding the Westport, CT Branch enables us to fulfill our goal of leadership to students and service to our community. We can give back to our community and country with the platform AYLUS provides.

Get to Know your Founding Leaders:
Anna Pan: Pan is a high school student in Staples High School located in Westport, CT. She founded the first CT branch in hopes to grow awareness of social justices and give back to her community. Besides her leadership role in AYLUS, she is also the President and Director of Debate of Junior Statesmen of America (JSA), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Westport Girl Talk, and Cp-Founder and Co-Captain of her school’s fencing team. As a competitive fencer and violinist, she enjoys her opportunities in traveling around the nation and meeting new people.
