On March 31st, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers initiated the day with assisting the residents in exercise and acclimating the residents to the day. As they rested following the physical exertion, the volunteers prepared a snack of cheddar cheese and browned crackers. After distributing the snack, the residents were given a selection of tea and hot chocolate to warm up from the sporadic rain. As the cups and napkins were cleared away, the residents wound down and went to the dining hall. The volunteers remained behind to prepare a special surprise: an Easter egg hunt. The eggs were hidden at eye level spots within foliage and furniture as well as the railways in the halls, prepared for the residents after their lunch.

On March 31st, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members volunteered at their senior center.
Members signed in first before parting ways. In the ice cream parlor, members brought out the supplies and the toppings to set up. They made sure to clean their hands first before starting to serve people. In the library, there were little to no people at first since most had gone out with their families to celebrate Easter. But as members continued playing, a couple seniors wandered in and enjoyed member’s playing. The seniors complimented the members and told them how much they loved their company and hope that they will be back soon.
