Sugar Land Branch Maintains Park Garden #62

On July 22nd, the Sugar Land Branch continued working on the garden maintenance project at the Memorial Park Butterfly Garden in collaboration with the City of Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Department. Temperatures lately have been high, causing the garden’s soil to dry out and be cracked at times. In response, members watered the flowers and made sure all the plants had sufficient hydration. In some areas, particularly near the taller flowers, fast-growing weeds had sprouted alongside the plants and were using their resources, causing them to become dehydrated. As a result, the volunteers pulled these weeds to give the flowers room to grow. They also fixed the posts.
