Mar 20, 2021 East Cobb AYLUS Participated In STOP ASIAN HATE RALLY I

On March 20, 2021,  multi-families of the East Cobb AYLUS Branch participated in a #STOPASIANHATE rally.  The rally was in response to the recent spike in Asian hate crimes as well as the massacre of 6 Asian women. The rally began in front of the State Capitol where new elected senators, Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock, as well as other members of the Georgia Legislator gave short speeches in support of our movement. Following the speeches, the hundreds of people in the rally consisting of all races, began their march from the State Capitol to the CNN Center. Along the way, there were many cars honking their horns in support of the movement. The people also chanted phrases such as “Stop Asian Hate!” and “No Justice! No Peace!” The overall energy was both exciting and controlled. The whole process was peaceful and everybody wore a mask.
