On June 24, 2026, AYLUS Morris Branch proudly partnered with Helping Hands Family Center to support local students and families through a Back-to-School Supply Drive. The initiative aimed to help children prepare for the upcoming school year by providing essential school supplies and reducing the financial burden on families in need.
With the support of generous community members, AYLUS volunteers collected more than 100 back-to-school items from neighborhoods throughout the Morris County area. Donations included notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, glue sticks, binders, backpacks, and other classroom essentials. These supplies will help ensure that students begin the new academic year with the tools they need to succeed.
Throughout the drive, AYLUS members worked diligently to promote the collection effort, organize donations, and coordinate logistics. Volunteers sorted and packed the items to ensure they were ready for distribution. Their dedication demonstrated the AYLUS mission of fostering youth leadership through meaningful community service and civic engagement.
On June 24 at 3:00 PM, AYLUS volunteers delivered the collected school supplies to Helping Hands Family Center. The donated items will be distributed to children and families served by the organization, helping students start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported.
Education plays a vital role in creating opportunities for future success, and access to basic school supplies is an important part of that foundation. By partnering with Helping Hands Family Center, AYLUS Morris Branch was able to make a positive impact on local families while encouraging community members to come together in support of education.
AYLUS Morris Branch extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed supplies and volunteered their time. The branch looks forward to continuing its partnership with local organizations and participating in future service projects that strengthen and support the community.
