East Cobb Branch Cut Films for Face Shield at Marietta Maker Station X

On December 13th, 2020, the East Cobb Branch went to laser cut plastic for use in face shields from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Since we had a significant stockpile of cut sheets from last week, we first worked through those. Since these sheets were smaller and therefore had to have face shields taken out more frequently, we could not cut as quickly as we wanted to. In addition to this, this rapid pace also prevented us from amassing too many larger sheets as cutting those was difficult with one person and the other had to constantly be by the laser cutter. Despite these challenges, we would manage to cut 160 face shields today.
