On 10/3/21, AYLUS Manhasset showed appreciation to the volunteer firefighters at Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Station with AYLUS Syosset.
Everyone brought tokens of appreciation such as water bottles, various snacks, a handmade poster, and donations to support the fire station. Afterwards, everyone received a tour on various parts of the station as well as what they have to do on their jobs. We learned about fire safety, how firefighters get ready, first aid and what happens when there’s an emergency.
Since first responders are one of the most essential people when it comes to emergency and dangerous situations, it is important to show appreciation during this dangerous time (They also liked the poster).
The members who participated were Loretta Liu (2 hr), Gavin Cao (1 hr), Joanna Yang (1 hr), Alex Lu (1 hr), Jonas Kim (1 hr), Matthew Yang (2 hr) and Benjamin Yang (2 hr)
