The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) Sports Committee continues a new chess schedule with classes on Mondays and Tuesdays.
For the first two classes, we evaluated the levels of these new students along with reinforcing their basic knowledge on the core chess principles. We reviewed how to checkmate with only a queen and king against a king along with just starting to learn how to checkmate with two rooks. After class, we went over how to create a chess.com account and the students got to play their first game against each other.

GPA will host a Chess Tournament on November 6th, 2021 from 7-8 pm EST.
