The AYLUS of Bellaire volunteered at the Nature Discovery Center in Bellaire, Texas on Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 1pm to 3 pm.
The event involved the park’s trail cleanup and maintenance. The volunteers first cleared the walkways of debris like large leaves and twigs, then covered the trails with decomposed granite to even the path so that puddles wouldn’t form when it rained.
The following volunteers attended this event: Helena Wang (project leader), Miranda Wang, Eric Li, Alexander Tang, Emerald Tang, Joshua Cheng, Sophia Li, Serena Li, Justin Du, Andy Shen, Evan Kim, Zachary Xiao, and Jeffery Gao.
Overall, the activity was a success and received well by the event host. The staff at the Nature Discovery Center has invited AYLUS Bellaire volunteers to come back for future projects.
