Greater Princeton AYLUS Makes Bird Specimens for Educational Display at NJ Audubon Society (10/28/2021)

The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) members Cassie Tammy Wang, Ethan Xu, Charlotte Xu, Lina Yang, Kathie Wang, and Jessica Tong worked at the Plainsboro Preserve Environmental Education Center to make bird specimens for educational display at the New Jersey Audubon Society.

GPA members continue their effort in making bird specimens for educational display at the New Jersey Audubon Society in Plainsboro Preserve Environmental Education Center.

On Sunday, 9/26, Light as a Feather invited volunteers to write informative pages about all the study skins available at Plainsboro Preserve! Of these volunteers (6 hrs for all), the pages were written by Cassie Wang, Chloe Tan, Ethan Xu, Kathie Wang, Lina Yang, and Tiffany Tian. These digital slides are used in Plainsboro preserve TV screening for illustrations and education. Overall, it was a absolutely fun experience, and everyone enjoyed learning more about these birds!

GPA member Ethan Xu (10/10, 2 hrs; 10/17, 2 hrs; 10/28, 2 hrs) worked with President Cassie Tammy Wang to put together a short video (Greater Princeton AYLUS Bird Specimens for NJ Audubon – YouTube) of the volunteers working on bird specimens.
