In the summer of 2020, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) teamed up and offered a Bilingual Tutoring Program.
The program allows GPA members to provide English/Chinese reading, writing, speaking, and communication to their students across the country. They had conversations over various video calling platforms, such as Zoom or Facetime, with students about topics they are interested in, such as movies, games, and school.
The 2-hour class on August 28, 2020 offered by GPA members Abigail Bao, Angela Bao, and Ruofei Olivia Mao focuses on story-telling. Over 10 children attended the class and had a lot of fun!
Anthony F Yang did 2 hours of Community Service through the preparation and class of tutoring third graders (Aimee Zhang, Mulan Yang, Nico Fischer, Dayna Li) reading and writing.
Allen Zhang taught English to a student in New York for 3 hours on 8/28.
