On August 12, 2020, members of AYLUS Puget Sound held the first class of the 2020 AMC 8 Prep class! This is also the first class ever held by the Puget Sound branch.

Our AMC 8 Prep Class is taught by Cecilia Sun, Sophie Xuan, and Sarah Xuan. The three instructors team up to prepare solutions and explanations for past AMC 8 Exams. In each one hour long class, we review one past exam. Instructors discuss and lead students through solving selected problems, providing extensions for important topics, and answering student questions.

In our first class, we introduced the course and the AMC and reviewed the 2005 AMC 8 Exam. We had a total of 46 students that attended the first class. Our students come from a variety of places in the US; we had students from local areas and even from the east coast!

We have our next class on the upcoming Saturday, and we will be reviewing the 2006 AMC 8 Exam then!
