On February 23, 2020, the cold but sunny afternoon, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) Humanitarian Care Team went to New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home to keep their volunteer activities between 1pm and 5pm.
The volunteers walked around the residents’ rooms, socialized with the seniors with the local and world News, talking about the game, discussing the upcoming political elections, listening to the old people to tell stories and experiences. Later the volunteers transported the seniors to the town square, joining the party “MUSIC Senior Moments”. The seniors had a great time with volunteers’ care. The volunteers also learned from the veterans and cherished the old stories with the veterans.
