Greater Princeton AYLUS Teaching Montgomery Community Board Game Go (7th) on February 22, 2020

On February 22, 2020, for two hours, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA), Fengqi Wen and Mingjie Liu, helped kids from Montgomery learn the board game Go, or Weiqi.

The class was one and a half hours and GPA members started preparing materials around 5:30 pm. Then between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm, they taught the kids fundamental rules and nouns of Go. The kids are in kindergarten, and being taught how to play Go, it thrilled them.

They assigned some homework for the kids to review what they learned in the class. The teachers were glad that the kids were happy and interactive during class and they were happy that their skills in Go can help others.
