On May 25th, 2025, 10 Forsyth County AYLUS members went to Fowler Park to conduct trash cleaning around several locations. The members met up at 9:45 AM and finished cleaning at 12:45, collecting 2 large bags of trash. This park is extremely popular, and trash, especially sharp objects, can be dangerous to the public. Our goal was to rid the park of such trash as well as possible to maintain safety, and also beauty. This is the second time we conducted a clean-up at the park, and we covered areas such as the playground, skatepark, tennis/basketball courts, and trails. The participants split into 3 groups to target different areas of the park, effectively cleaning large portions of it.
We used trash bags and gloves as materials.
