On April 19, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm volunteers from Aylus Roslyn Branch came and helped volunteer at Nosh Food Delivery. Nosh is a non-profit organization, which delivers food and beverages weekly to those in need.
When we arrived at Nosh, we were greeted by all the workers. We started off by helping the workers stock up their shelves so that all the customers get a variety of different options for food and beverages. We then proceeded to make Nosh bags and store all sorts of canned goods, fruits, and etc. Lastly we decorated some bags and put food and drinks in it differentiating it depending on whether it was lunch or breakfast.
The work at Nosh was surprisingly difficult. The materials needed to be constantly stocked for the people in need. There was also a lot of bags that needed to be filled with food and drinks to fill the demand. This experience at Nosh teaches us the importance of helping out others who need support and the hardships that many people go through.
Members that volunteered: Brian Xiong (3 hours), Jaden Zhang (3 hours), Josephine Zhang (3 hours), and Miles Hu (3 hours).
