On Saturday, April 19th, AYLUS Houston volunteers spent a productive afternoon at the Houston Food Bank, dedicating their three-hour shift to working in the Carousel Room on first sort. During this session, our team focused on sorting and sanitizing donated food items, carefully checking expiration dates and organizing goods to ensure they met quality and safety standards for distribution.
This behind-the-scenes task is essential to the food bank’s operations, as it helps ensure that families in need receive reliable and safe products. Our volunteers worked efficiently and collaboratively, demonstrating great attention to detail and teamwork throughout the shift.
We’re proud of the dedication shown by our members and are grateful to the Houston Food Bank for continuously giving us the opportunity to support their vital mission.
