The AYLUS Mclean Branch participated in the Longfellow Middle School Trash Clean-Up on April 11th, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
As Earth Day is coming soon, AYLUS organized a volunteering event at Longfellow Middle School to pick up trash spotted around the school. This type of clean up not only helps the environment, but also shows the volunteers how much trash can be found within a short amount of time. Encouraging adolescents to pick up trash protects wildlife, preserves natural beauty, and improves overall environmental and public health. Volunteers went around the school campus, while also searching the grounds in a nearby neighborhood for littered waste.
