AYLUS Roslyn Provides Food to Local Families Through NOSH Delivery! Food Pantry (59th) on April 5th, 2025

On Saturday, April 5th, from 9:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M, members of the AYLUS Roslyn branch volunteered with NOSH Delivers!, a non-profit organization committed to preventing food insecurity within the community.

Over the course of hours in volunteering, members focused on three main activities: creating children lunch and breakfast bags, distributing food towards customers, and cleaning up trash outdoors. As meal bags were created, members decorated the paper bags using decorative sticker materials, also while drawing and coloring. These bags were then filled with nutritious items, with a goal to bring both health and happiness towards the children. We then distributed food out to local customers, ensuring all customers received their necessities. In addition, to secure an organized area, both considering indoors and outdoors, members had either swept grounds, or had gone outside to clean up, to establish the patterns of orderliness, and help keep the area in good conditions.

With these combined efforts, the experience does not only hold parts of insights into hardships others face, but can also become valuable to ourselves, teaching us and presenting the lessons of organization, motivational work, and responsibility.

Members that volunteered: Jinrui Lei (3 hours), Zihan Wang (3 hours), Charlotte Wu (3 hours), Jolina Wu (3 hours)
