May 25, 2019 East Cobb Young Musician Summer Performance II

On May 25, 2019, 6 members of East Cobb Young Musicians performed at Arbor Terrace and Phoenix Senior Center for ONE hour each.
Members performed pieces such as Sarasate and Vivaldi Sonata in A minor. A variety of musicians performed such as cellist, violinists, and violists. Despite the small number of performers, each of the performer prepared a number of pieces for the seniors to listen to.
When we arrived at both Arbor Terrace, a large audience consisting of both seniors and staff welcomed the musicians in. Some seniors even smiled with glee when the musicians arrived. While the members performed, the seniors listened to the music with cheerful smiles and clapped along with the music. At Arbor Terrace, one senior even came to the musicians and praised the wonderful music performed. The musicians were able to chat with the lady and not only talk about the music performed but also the lady’s past experience in music. The musicians were joyed to be able to talk with the lady and share their love of music. Some seniors also praised the musicians after the performance of how well they performed.
At Phoenix Senior Center, the musicians were welcomed by the joyful staff and the welcoming signs that announced the performance brought by the musicians. During the performance, many seniors that were previously playing Bingo joined the other audience to listen to the performance.
The members were delighted to be able to perform for such an amazing audience. They were happy to be able to share their love of music with the seniors.
