Greater Tulsa Branch crocheted plastic mats for the homeless on March 8th.

Reported by Kaylin Chen

On Saturday, March 8th at Tulsa Chinese Christian Church, our Greater Tulsa Branch continued to crochet and make plastic bag mats for the homeless to sleep on. We cut from recycled plastic shopping bags and tied them together into plastic string. Then we crocheted the sting and tied them together to create a plastic mat. We were able to make a lot of progress!

We volunteered from 1:00 to 3:30. We had four youth volunteers and four adult volunteers.

Youth volunteers:

Kaiting Hsu: 2.5 hours

Sophie Qin: 2.5 hours

Kaylin Chen: 2.5 hours

Neddy Cai: 2.5 hours

Adult volunteers:

Joyce Hsu: 1.0 hours

Ted Cai: 2.5 hours
