AYLUS North Hollywood Volunteers for Fountain Community Gardens in Fountain Avenue | February 17, 2025

Activity & Impact

On February 17, 2025 — members of the AYLUS North Hollywood Branch volunteered at a Community Garden in Fountain Avenue from 10:00am-1:00pm. Fountain Community Gardens’ mission is to produce a flourishing, well-managed garden where members can be themselves and feel a sense of community. Volunteers worked on building a foundation for a greenhouse that was funded by a grant by a children’s hospital. They also raked pathways, clearing the way from leaves and pines to create a cleaner environment for all those who work there. Volunteers also added ` layers of soil to flower beds that had eroded away and built mounds for wild flowers to brighten the area and atmosphere.
