During the month of February, members of the RCA branch crafted handmade bookmarks and donated them, along with a selection of fiction and nonfiction books, to different local senior homes. Using cardstock, they carefully cut each bookmark to size, punched holes, and decorated them with thoughtful designs inspired by uplifting themes that they found online. To enhance usability, they tied a ribbon to each bookmark for easy handling.
This initiative aimed to remind the seniors that they are valued and not alone. The bookmarks, designed to bring a touch of joy to their daily lives, were distributed alongside the donated books in the senior home’s library, encouraging engagement and fostering a sense of connection through reading.
