On April 21, 2019, the AYLUS Pearland Branch worked alongside Pearland Chinese Association to host an Easter egg hunt open to families and kids of all ages at Tom Bass Park 1. This was the 4th annual Easter egg hunt that AYLUS Pearland Branch hosted.
This amazing fun featured 1500 plastic eggs, lots of candy and toys, and hard-working volunteers provided by AYLUS families. At the beginning of this event, all of the eggs and volunteers were separated into two groups, and each group filled all the eggs with candy and toys in less than two hours. Then AYLUS volunteers spent one hour hiding the eggs across the area AYLUS had reserved. The park was covered in eggs of all sizes and colors filled with goodies. At 4:00 PM, hundreds of excited children of all ages lined up along the starting line and could hardly wait for the start of the hunt. At the time the “Go” signal blared across the fields, kids rushed in with their colorful baskets, and all eggs were picked up in a short amount of time. The fields were filled with smiling, happy faces. The kids enjoyed finding the colorful eggs, and the volunteers had fun helping fill and hide the eggs.
