On May 4th, the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held East Cobb Youth Tutoring program at the East Cobb Library. A total of 2 students showed up, with 2 tutors to help the students.
The East Cobb Branch holds Youth Tutoring program every Saturday during school days, giving kids in the Cobb area an opportunity to receive help with their studies. The program gives students a comfortable environment to ask for help in academics. The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.
This time, the tutors taught 1 student are elementary school students and 1 middle school students. The tutors worked on a variety of subjects with the students such as Reading and Math
At this session, we greatly helped the students. This session was also the first time Brian helped tutor. Coincidentally, he also helped a student who was here for the first time. Because of this the student didn’t bring any material. This issue was solved by the internet, where Brian found passages and questions and helped the student through.
Also due to less and less students, we decided to merge the program at Switzer with this one to both be help at the East Cobb Library.
Attendance: Brian Kuang (2 hours), Maxwell Jiang (2 hours)
