AYLUS Roslyn Provides Food to Local Families Through NOSH Delivery! Food Pantry (52nd) on February 17, 2025

On Monday, February 17th, from 9am to 1pm, we came as volunteers to 15 Hill St, Glen Cove to help the public welfare organization Nosh Delivers, a non-profit food pantry that aims to help families in need of food.
After we arrived, our first task was to make NOSH bags, in which various non-perishable foods were placed for delivery to people in need of food, including fish and canned vegetables, black beans, pasta and dried fruits. Through reasonable division of labor, our work efficiency was very high and we quickly completed it and started the next task. We helped the staff to sort various cans and put them on the shelves, and helped customers buy food. Finally, we need to pick out inedible food from the usable fruits and vegetables and throw it away.
We learned a lot from the volunteer service experience in this event, and learned about how the food pantry works and the efforts required to maintain the food pantry. At the same time, we are proud and happy for the volunteer work we have done because we have helped many people
