In January 2025, members of the Riverside County AYLUS branch organized a cookie bake sale to raise funds for animals affected by the recent wildfires. The members designed posters, baked homemade cookies, and sold them to family, friends, and neighbors, by going door to door and successfully raising $430 to aid displaced animals.
The funds were donated to the Pasadena Humane Society, which took in many affected animals. The animal shelter was running at full capacity due to the many fires that surrounded it. The donation is meant to help provide food, medical care, and shelter to the displaced animals.
RCA will stay committed to continuing to help local animal shelters in need by providing funds, food, and handmade toys.
