AYLUS San Clemente Branch Members Helped Sort LA Fire Relief Supplies at Saddleback Church Peace Center

On January 18, 2025, 8 members of the San Clemente Branch volunteered at the Saddleback Church Peace Center by helping to sort LA fire relief supplies.

Before volunteering, members contributed money to buying supplies that were donated to the center. Members were assigned to a wide range of rolls. Some were assigned to help with the cleanliness of the center by vacuuming the floor. Other members helped to bring donated centers in from outside donation bins. After they were brought in, members helped to unpackage different kinds of food and organized them. Members then grabbed boxes and packaged care boxes with many different supplies ranging from granola bars, to canned vegetables, to personal hygiene products. Getting the opportunity to make such a contribution to the LA wild fires was a rewarding experience.

Participating members (2 hours each): Elena Hsieh, Laura Liu, Edward Leigh, Jasmine Zheng, King Oung, Miah Zhou &, Tylon Zhou & Wendy Zhuang. Each member eared 2 volunteer hours.
