On Saturday, December 21, AYlUS Houston went to the Food Bank for a food packing activity. The main purpose of the activity was is to review food for people in need, so that they can eat safer, fresh food.
The activity we were doing involved selecting the packaged lemons, discarding the rotten and inedible ones, and setting aside the good ones for repackaging. So, we carried out a clear division of labor: making bags, handling lemons, selecting lemons, weighing, and packaging. Everyone performed their duties, forming an orderly packaging chain, which led to the activity’s efficiency reaching a higher level.
The significance of this event was significant. Our volunteers learned how to work together effectively, and those in need of help in the community received help and hope. We would like to express our gratitude to the volunteers for their time and effort, which is the key to the success of this event. We also thank the Houston Food Bank for working with us this time, and look forward to working with you in the future to bring more help to the community.
