In November, the Greater Princeton & Far Beyond Branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued its holiday greeting event to first aid and rescue squads, firefighters, police officers, and so many real heroes in our community, who sacrifice a lot to save lives, and deserve our honor and respect, especially in this holiday season.
Montgomery Township Vol. Fire Co No 2 has been providing professional fire protection for Montgomery and the surrounding areas since 1946. It is staffed 100% by volunteers 24/7. In 50 years, it has grown from a company with one engine in a garage with a dirt floor to a multipurpose five truck company with a sprawling building with a floor that’s anything but dirt. Could they have imagined apparatus worth more than a million dollars combined? Or the grand building housing them? One doubts they would have envisioned a Chief who is a woman. But it is because of the foundation they gave us that we have become the progressive, professional company we all take pride in.
Led by Gloria Wang (11/20, 5-7pm, 2 hrs), GPA members (11/20, 6-7 pm, 1 hr for all) Ryan Li, Emma Lin, Victoria Butz, Simon Tong, Manfred Yan, Xiaohui Zhang prepared best wishing cards, collected donation items, joined for the event and delivered the gifts to the real heroes at Montgomery Fire Department (529 CR-518 Skillman)
