Greater Princeton AYLUS Singer Liz Zhao Served Community at “Music from Heart-Happy Chinese New Year” Events in February 2019

Reported by Cassie Tammy Wang

Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) Member Liz Zhao from Princeton Day School, is very gifted in singing and performance (besides squash). She has been learning how to sing with teacher Gu Mingzheng for 3.5 years. Her teacher, along with ICEPN TV, gives Liz many performance opportunities. She participated in a few competitions, and even recorded a song of her own in collaboration with songwriter Aleese Simmons around Thanksgiving 2018. Her song will hopefully be released by the end of 2019.

Liz performed at quite a few events recently to help celebrate the Chinese New Year: Merwick Care & Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro on February 3rd (3 hours); City of Trenton Inaugural Chinese New Year Celebration on February 5th (3 hours); and Wishing Well Adult Health Care Center in Lawrenceville on February 18th (3 hours).

Liz joined the GPA because she wanted an opportunity to try new things. It can certainly help her interact with others and get to know new people. She would help others learn new things in or out of school, and use her talents in singing to help the community.
