On July 20, 2024, the ALFC Generosity Center was bustling with activity as youth volunteers from the AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch gathered for a day of service. Despite the high temperatures, the dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to distribute food to those in need. This event was particularly notable for the overwhelming participation, with 17 volunteers showing up instead of the expected 15, showcasing their enthusiasm and commitment to community service.
Due to the hot weather, the volunteers started their work half an hour early, beginning at 7:30 AM and continuing until 12:00 PM. They diligently distributed canned food and other essential items, ensuring that each recipient received the necessary supplies. Their efforts demonstrated their dedication to helping the community, and their teamwork was evident throughout the morning.
The student volunteers included Yangxuezhe Sun, Minghao Shi, Yanya Chen, Yanhang Guo, Yiyi Wang, Haoyu Zhang, Sicheng Lu, Lingnai Yang, Chengzhuo Ye, Zikang Li, Jennifer Kuang, Weiwei Kuang, Shu Jingwei, Jiapeng Ni, Jiaman Ni, and Elaine Wang. Each of them contributed five hours of their time. Their commitment and teamwork ensured a smooth and efficient operation, with everyone focused on the shared goal of supporting their community.
The impact of their work was clear throughout the day. The successful completion of the task highlighted the efficiency and effectiveness of the youth volunteers, earning them well-deserved commendation from the organizers.
