On November 20th, members of the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS went to Sunrise Senior Center to perform for the seniors for two hours. The performance was particularly special because it was the one year anniversary of the first time the members of the East Cobb branch performed at Sunrise.
Members prepared fun and festive music for the seniors including a trio that performed holiday music both traditional and pop pieces such as “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, “What Child is This”, “Up on the Housetop”, and “Jingle Bells”. The seniors enjoyed the music and even sang along and danced to some songs. Many beautiful piano and trumpet pieces were performed too.
Bringing the holiday joy to the seniors created a happy environment throughout the senior center that happens during the holiday season. We were happy to bring such joy to the seniors. The festive environment made not only the seniors happy but also the performers happy.
Members who participated were: Raymond Jiang (2 hours), Maxwell Jiang (2 hours), Howard Hua (2 hours), Susanna Huang (2 hours), Selina Huang (2 hours), Jay Pan (2 hours), Rachel Li (2 hours), Grace Shen (2 hours), David Qu (2 hours), Cynthia Ruan (2 hours)
