On 1/6/2024, members of AYLUS syosset volunteered at the LINPI located at Brentwood. As winter continues on, fewer plants are growing outside and the weather gets colder. Members of AYLUS Syosset are helping out to filter the plants so they can use the seeds for future planting and other needs. They also helped out on potting and watering the native plants.
The LINPI or Long Island Native Plant Initiative strives to preserve Long Island’s biodiversity by cultivating ethically sourced ecotypic plants to ensure commercial availability of native plants for nurseries, communities, and habitat restorations.
