On September 3rd: the volunteers helped hand out noodles for the residents to exercise with, walking them through a light exercise of their shoulders and arms. They stretched out their legs and feet as well, massaging around their bodies. Some of the residents appeared to be especially agitated, and the volunteers took the time to converse with them and accompany them in their exercise. Then, the volunteers began serving the snack and drink for the morning. They first poured juice and water for some of the residents, then spooned peaches for them. For some residents they required assistance in drinking and feeding, and the volunteers helped the caretakers feed a few of the residents. As the cups were cleaned up, a ball toss was done, before the volunteers transported all the residents outside. They enjoyed the fresh air and took light walks together, before lunchtime arrived. Then, the volunteers took the residents to the dining room together.

On September 3rd Murrieta AYLUS members went to their local senior to help out. Members first went to the Independent Living Center to help. There, one member went to help serve ice cream in the parlor and the other member went to the library to play live music. After, members talked a little with seniors who commended members for their hard work. Then members went to Assisted Living Center to perform. When members arrived they saw the seniors already waiting for them. After the performance some seniors went up to members and said they remembered them and gave them hugs. Members were touched and said goodbye and will return the following week.
