Reported by Julie Lu:
On July 16th & 20th, Murrieta AYLUS members helped out with the Little Garden of Hope Project.
On the 16th, the members did some light pruning, weeding, and watered each bed before heading to the local Home Depot to buy pumpkin seeds. When they got back, the members planted the seeds, thoroughly watered the soil, and placed cups over where they were planted. Seeing that the zuccinis and tomatoes were ripe, they harvested them, leaving a box of produce to the Habitat of Humanity staff.
On the 20th, the members weeded all the beds and planted more pumpkin seeds. They turned on the sprinklers and manually watered the beds whose sprinklers didn’t work.
