On April 22nd, volunteers from the Frisco & Plano branch sorted books for the Libraries with Love foundation. Books were sorted based on grade level: 1st grade to 3rd grade, 4th grade to 5th grade, and 6th grade to 7th grade. In total, over 150 books were grouped into different categories. Books that could be shipped to the Libraries with Love organization were separated from the books that could not be donated, namely those that were nonfiction or were not suited for children.
From the books that could not be donated, around 50 were listed to be sold on the Amazon Marketplace. So far, two books have been sold on Amazon Marketplace. The proceeds will be used to pay for the shipping costs of donating books to African countries.
