The Island Harvest’s Community Mobile Market works with the AYLUS Dix HIlls Branch to distribute food to those in need.

The food, including(meat, eggs, fruits, yogurt, milk), was generously donated by stores and markets all throughout Long Island. Additionally, there were boxes of specific food along with premium cheese specifically for seniors.

AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteers, alongside Island Harvest regulars, sorted the food into categories and types of food into plastic bags to be later distributed to people.

The cars arrived one at a time, as our volunteers greeted people with bags of food.

After all the food was distributed, things were wrapped up with the volunteers assisting in cleaning up the area and piling up the cardboard.

Volunteers: Jason Chen (3 hours and 30 minutes), Ivan Wu (3 hours).
