Volunteers from AYLUS worked with Journey’s End Refugee Service, an organization whose mission is to help refugees adjust to the United States and assist them in becoming independent and involved members of their community, on April 6th, 2023, at their April Break day camp.
After helping proctor the “post test,” which aims to gauge the improvement in the children’s English, volunteers played a series of games, including Duck-Duck-Goose and the Hokey-Pokey, with the children before the camp’s limbo challenge.
Volunteers: Emma Zhang, Grace Wang, David Cong, Andrew Jiang, Yonten Gyatso (4 hours)
