Murrieta AYLUS Helps STAT Horse Sanctuary (9th) (3/04/23)

Reported by Adora Xiao

On March 4, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to the STAT horse sanctuary. They began with the goats, pigs, and turkeys, cleaning their pen, speed fueled by the prospect of feeding the horses with carrots. Once cleaning was finished, they grabbed the bags of carrots and made off for the pony. The pony was only allowed small pieces, so they took ample care to attempt to break the carrots. They then moved on to the rest of the horses, even attempting to play horse fetch (which failed) and keeping the dogs from eating too many. After a quick break, they began currying and brushing the horses. They quickly realized the right side of the horses was downwind and the dust and hair blew into their faces. Hence, some of them placed their masks over their eyes to avoid the dust. After currying two horses and coughing along the way, they examined the bulletin to come up with a new design. They look forward to decorating in the future!
