On Sunday, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm, the Great Neck AYLUS branch volunteered at the Chinese Cultural Association of Long Island school.
Volunteering as a TA in a Chinese school can be a fulfilling experience that not only improves your language skills but also helps others learn. As a TA, you have the opportunity to work closely with students and teachers, gain valuable teaching experience, and contribute to the educational development of young learners. During my time volunteering, I learned a lot of knowledge not only to help children but also how to communicate better with them, which also helped me in my normal life.
At 4:00-5:00 pm, the students started the cultural class. In calligraphy today, we learned how to make an airplane. The students created many different airplanes, and every student did a great job. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm and creativity. Overall, it was a great experience, and I look forward to volunteering in the future.
