Millions of people in Turkey are affected by the recent earthquake. In an earthquake’s aftermath, people often become ill due to their lack of shelter, compromised water and sanitation systems, lack of refrigeration, and untreated injuries. These circumstances can lead to bacterial infections and disease outbreaks among people forced into temporary shelters. People also frequently lose access to the medicine. Three members of our branch were deeply saddened by the tragedy. They decided to mail and donate fever reducer and pain reliever to Consulate General of Turkey in Houston located at 5333 Westheimer Rd #1050, Houston, TX 77056 on Feb 17th, 2023.
