AYLUS members from the Greater Triangle Chapter recently volunteered their time and energy to help out at Hope Farm, a local farm that is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. Specifically, the volunteers worked on composting, which is the process of converting organic materials into a nutrient-rich soil amendment.
The AYLUS volunteers spent the day at the farm, working alongside staff members to help turn and mix compost piles. They also learned about the science behind composting and the importance of reducing waste and promoting sustainability in agriculture.
The AYLUS Greater Triangle Chapter is committed to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability through community service and volunteerism. By working with organizations like Hope Farm, AYLUS is able to make a positive impact on the environment and the local community.
