Members of AYLUS Syosset joined with members of AYLUS Bayside, Roslyn and Jericho to pay a visit to the New York Police Department in precinct 109 in Flushing. We talked with two police officers, Officer Hernandez and Radosti about their jobs, what it takes to be a police officer, the tests and academic experience you would need and different stories that they had to share. We asked questions about how they deal with property crimes and about their daily cop life. Another officer arrived too. We asked this officer about his experience with the attacks of 9-11. His response was that his memories regarding the incident are very blurry, but had some memorable points to recall. We gave them our homemade desserts and gifts and thanked them for their service and time.
