Over a two week period, AYLUS Birmingham members volunteered with Neighborhood Academy, a local nonprofit helping underserved Birmingham students in a classroom setting. Volunteers assisted rising 5th-6th graders in learning the US states, fraction math, and reading chapter books. AYLUS members also played lacrosse with the program participants and helped supervise break times and outdoor activities.
